Stop this ethnocentric bunks. It's dangerous Musah Superior to the NPP

*Musah Superior writes๐Ÿ–Š️๐Ÿ–Š️๐Ÿ–Š️…*  When l contested for the position of GS in the recent NPP National elections, the “Dombos” from the Greater Northern Region (N/R, UWR, N/E, UER, S/R) voted against me. They “Dombos” voted for our current GS (JFK). They gave him their mandate because they believed he could do the job better than me and the rest of the GS aspirants. They accepted his vision, believed in his competence and voted for him hugely.  In the Northern Region specifically, where l come from, the combined votes of JFK and JB stood at 274. I got 35 votes. I accepted the decision of my “brothers and sisters” in good faith. They exercised their right to choose without any ethnic consideration or bias. It was proper and right. This is how democracy works. Electors in any contest should choose people base on their competencies and not where they come from or who they are associated with. That should be the case in the debate leading to the election of our Party’s 2024 flagbea...

Press Release by Musah Superior hits hard on Hopeson Adorye Director of Operations for Allan Cash

Image
Press Release  14th August, 2022  *Hopeson Adorye's understanding of the NPP tradition is poor.*  I have watched an extract of a speech delivered by Hopeson Adorye in which he made very divisive and ethnocentric comments; labelling Northerners unfit to occupy the number one job of our country. My understanding is that, Hopeson Adorye is the Director of Operations for the campaign team of Hon. Alan K Kyeremanteng, the Minister for Trade and Industry; and he spoke in that capacity.  My initial reaction was one of horror and pain as a person of Northern extraction in Ghana. Hopeson says that we northerners, (the Dombos) are unfit to aspire to the high office of President of the Republic of Ghana.  Never mind that, a circular was issued  only last week by the General Secretary of the Party condemning such political activities meant to canvass support for Presidential aspirants, Mr Adorye and his group arrogantly disregarded the code of conduct issued by t...

There's hope for NPP. Musah Superior Npp General Secretary hopeful assured Party faithful and the grassroots.

It is not for nothing that all levels of the NPP are disgruntled about the management of the Party.  The increasing apathy is said to be springing from poor administration of the Party, which is as a result of the wide gap between the Party Headquarters and ordinary members. This deficiency obviously resulted to;  1. The closer to 500,000 votes we lost between 2016 and 2020  2. The over 30 seats we lost in Parliament after the 2020 election  Unfortunately, in the build-up to election 2024, we are even having a more unprecedented distrust among the hierarchy of the Party.  If we could lose closer to 50% of electorates from 2016 to 2020, and over 30 seats in Parliament over the same period, we should be very worried about the next general election.  What can be the outcome of election 2024? Are we going to perform worse, or we will do better? What will be the faith of the Party in the next years with the predominant increasing dissatisfaction among us?  ...

Image
We must devise a policy to support the grassroots and constituency executives of our party - NPP National Executives advised The national executives of the ruling New Patriotic Party have been advised to improvise appropriate plans and decisions to subsidize the constituency executives and the grassroots of the party who always toil to ensure the success of the party in elections and other activities within the party. Speaking in an interview with Mr. Musah Superior, the Aspiring General Secretary of the New Patriotic party who is currently the Deputy CEO of the Ghana Forestry Commission, He stated that the strength of every political party depends on the grassroots and the executives within the constituencies hence the need for the NPP to develop plans to secure brighter future for their grassroots and constituency executives.  He stressed that there should be laid down procedures to ensure that the grassroots are furnished with jobs and other lucrative businesses to motivat...

Dr Nana Ayew Afriye writes….. POLITICAL SPEAKER NOT ABOVE PARLIAMENTARY PRACTICE Mr. Speaker it is shameful for you to attack the president & judiciary based on emotions and without  recourse to extensive research on parliamentary practices elsewhere. Ghana is a member of the CPA( Commonwealth Parliamentary Association). However,  all over the commonwealth of which Ghana is a member, I came across a very interesting trend. In this write up I chose a few examples base on  continental/ regional location. In; 1. Australia, the speaker is an MP and has a casting vote section 44 Australian constitution saves it,  2. Also, South africa has a speaker who is an MP with a casting vote SA constitution  41 3. Nigeria has speaker MP and with a  casting vote.Nigeria constitution  75 A(i)  4. UK speaker Addington explained  why speaker's should have a vote especially where there is a tie in 1796. John Bercow used casting vote to block brexit...Af...
