There's hope for NPP. Musah Superior Npp General Secretary hopeful assured Party faithful and the grassroots.
It is not for nothing that all levels of the NPP are disgruntled about the management of the Party.
The increasing apathy is said to be springing from poor administration of the Party, which is as a result of the wide gap between the Party Headquarters and ordinary members. This deficiency obviously resulted to;
1. The closer to 500,000 votes we lost between 2016 and 2020
2. The over 30 seats we lost in Parliament after the 2020 election
Unfortunately, in the build-up to election 2024, we are even having a more unprecedented distrust among the hierarchy of the Party.
If we could lose closer to 50% of electorates from 2016 to 2020, and over 30 seats in Parliament over the same period, we should be very worried about the next general election.
What can be the outcome of election 2024? Are we going to perform worse, or we will do better? What will be the faith of the Party in the next years with the predominant increasing dissatisfaction among us?
Discerning foundation members of the Party, who, having payed their dues in full to the Party are so worried that they can not leave the party to crush in 2024. Hence, the likes of Iddrisu Musah Superior has declared their commitments to fix the Party ahead of the crucial general election of 2024.
Musah Superior, as he is affectionately called, has been an Activist all his life; a "foundation" member of the NPP; founded the Young Elephants Club in 1996; Contested for NPP National Organiser in 2005 and lost to Lord Commey); was NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Tamale Central in 2012 General elections; was Special Assistant to the General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong (2014 - 2015); was Snr Campaign Aide to Candidate Akufo-Addo (2016 Campaign) before becoming Tamale Mayor from 2017 to 2020, and now the Deputy CEO of Forestry Commission. Aside the long list of his political biography which translates in his rich experience, he is assertive, a skillful negotiator, a disciplinarian, grassroots man and results driven, among others.
The former Mayor, having described his bid for NPP Next General Secretary as "The Peoples' Campaign" seeks to re-mobilize the Party ahead of 2024. He envisions to fight the monsters in the Party that fuels division. He identifies as one who shall uphold internal democracy in the NPP.
Musah Superior has listed a groundbreaking Ten Points Plan to restore the hopes of NPP membership and supporters as well as revive the dimming glory of the New Patriotic Party in Ghana and abroad.
We entreat delegates across the 275 constituents to give Musah Superior the support to boost the fortunes of the NPP. Long live the NPP. Long live Ghana.
